Energy Supply
Increasing demand for high-performance infrastructure
Energy is an indispensable part of modern life. Oil and gas are still the main sources of energy. Both these raw materials are generally extracted in regions far removed from where they are processed, refined or consumed. This makes pipelines and energy supply plants the arteries of modern economies.
The Nordcapital energy supply funds invest via professional managers (master limited partnership, MLP manager) in promising companies in the energy supply sector in the USA. These companies operate in the midstream segment which includes, for example, processing plants, fuel depots and a dense network of pipeline systems that cover large distances between suppliers and their customers, providing transport and ensuring that distribution is economically efficient.
Placed energy supply funds
The Energy Supply Fund 1 launched in this segment in 2008 acquired shares in a certificate issued by Deutsche Bank in the field of U.S. energy supply in October 2008. In 2009 the Energy Supply Fund 2 was launched, investing in the NCEV 1 certificate like its predecessor. Both funds benefit from the performance of the following MLP managers: Harvest Funds Advisors, LLC, Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P., Salient Partners, LP and Swank Capital, LLC. In 2012 the Energie Supply Fund 3 was launched.
